This weekend brings another thrilling duo of racing opportunities to the Chicago cycling community. Both and Sunday feature premier events that promise exciting competition across all categories.
Saturday's highlight is "The Original" Wood Dale Criterium, which serves double duty as ABR's Illinois State Criterium Championship. The course has earned its reputation as one of the region's finest criterium venues, featuring sweeping, wide-open corners that allow riders to carry tremendous speed throughout the circuit. The fields historically run exceptionally fast here, making for spectacular racing. Download the complete race flyer for detailed schedule and category information.
Sunday brings the Villa Park Grand Prix, presented by RDS Cycling. Now entering its third year, this event has quickly established itself as a community favorite. The race has garnered excellent feedback from participants, and the local community has embraced it with strong support and enthusiasm. Registration for this event closes Thursday, so don't delay if you're planning to participate. View the Villa Park Grand Prix flyer for registration details and race information.
Both events offer outstanding racing across multiple categories, so whether you're a seasoned competitor or looking for your next challenge, this weekend has something for everyone. See you at the races!
