Weekly Update: November 13th Edition

We know the posting frequency has slowed down lately – but we figure most of you are busy competing at the Chicago Cross Cup anyway! We've been tracking the latest competition results – lots of familiar names, though it's really a different racing world altogether!

Here are some early announcements and updates for the upcoming 2026 racing season:

  • After a successful inaugural year, the Intelligentsia Prairie State Cycling Series has revealed their 2026 schedule: July 18th through 27th. Great news that the Lake Bluff event on July 19th will join the NCC calendar. Word on the street is the organizing team is exploring some exciting new venue options. Can we put in a request for a challenging circuit with some elevation? We're looking forward to the complete schedule announcement in the months ahead.
  • EndureIT! in Willowbrook is launching an indoor Computrainer time trial competition series. Sara Fix and Julie Hossack are heading up the organization. Visit their registration portal for complete information.
  • Chris Wiatr is putting together a regular group ride departing from Long Grove, specifically at the intersection of Robert Parker Coffin Road and Old McHenry Road at 6PM. The route covers 32 miles. Expected to kick off when spring arrives, but reach out to Chris directly for additional details.
  • We've been hearing whispers about some major team roster changes happening during the off-season. Can't share specifics publicly yet, but it's definitely evidence of the vibrant competitive cycling scene in the Midwest. If you have team news to share, please send it our way – we're happy to help spread the word and celebrate your announcements.
  • While we're sharing resources, here are two outstanding racing blogs we've discovered: NorCal Cycling News and 303 Cycling News focusing on Colorado racing.
